As I mentioned last week, M and I went to the Pasadena Flea Market on Sunday. I am so excited about our finds! M got several comic books, and I even got one as well! (I couldn't help but get the "Uncle Scrooge" comic! I just LOVE the DuckTails!) I also picked up an awesome leather elephant for Lex and a leather giraffe for Tiff. (Yes, Tiff, you heard me correctly! I saw it and immediately thought of you!) No pictures of those posted here because I want Lex and Tiff to be a little surprised when they get it. I also found some great jewelry:
I got a pair of clip-on earings with large pink glass for my aunt (she never got her ears pierced and I'm always looking for cute clip-ons for her!) They cost me $1.
All three necklaces each cost me $1. The one on the left is a vintage faux pearl necklace. The one next to that (the shorter one) I believe to be real vintage pearls!! And the the last necklace has a rose pendent that's cute.
The other three items (the two bracelets and key charm) cost me more, but I really like them. All together they were $15. The lady that I bought them from did NOT want to bargain at all. And I probably would have just walked away, but I was pretty sure that the silver heart bracelet was actually a vintage Tiffany's piece. Now, I have no real way of knowing, but it is marked "T & Co." and, truth is, I was willing to pay whatever for it because it reminded me of another bracelet that had sentimental value to me. I had a bracelet with tiny hearts and beads on it that my father had given me when I was younger. I wore it everyday and loved it so much that the hollow beads finally broke apart. I still have the bracelet, but it's not really in wearable condition. The hearts on the bracelet from the flea market are solid, so I don't really have to worry about wearing them out!
So the total cost of all my jewelry finds was $19. I think I got a good bargain and there definitely isn't any buyers remorse!
