Week 1 of 2011 is coming to an end; I hope it was a good one!
I spent last night trying to figure out my finances and how I am going to afford the rest of my school tuition. Assuming that I maintain my tutoring and babysitting hours over the next few months and spend (literally) nothing, I will be just shy of affording my tuition for the last quarter of my teaching credential program! If for some reason during the next few months, my tutoring or babysitting hours are reduced, I'm in SERIOUS trouble! I guess it's a good thing that #8 is on my list! Also, I'll be starting that "no spending policy" NOW!
I am hoping that I can live off the food that I already have in my cupboards! I will be rationing it off over the next few months. It's a good thing that I have many cans of food, frozen vegetables, some dry pasta, some boxes of tea, a 10 pound bag of cat food and 2 bags of kitty treats for Little Spunks. I'm not sure how I am going to pay for the gas to and from tutoring, babysitting and school, but I'll figure that out later. [I have a bike, but it needs a $50 fix to get it running.] At least I still have money on the Starbucks gift card that was given to me for Christmas! I'll have to be sure to spread it out so that it lasts!
If you have a little extra money and your walls are in need of decoration or change, I hope you would consider purchasing a custom-made painting! All profits will go towards paying for my tuition to complete my teaching credential! Can't purchase a painting? Not a problem, you can help me out by spreading the word and recommending me to friends and family!
I'll be spending my weekend babysitting (8 hours of it!), tutoring (2 hours), attending a birthday party for M's god-daughter, getting ahead in my course assignments and planning first grade science, health and math lessons that I will be teaching next week.
Have a wonderful and productive weekend!
I will happily spread the word. Good luck with the finances, my dear!
