It's rare to see a hummingbird just hanging out. I was lucky enough to see this little guy sitting on a branch outside my front door last week. Apparently hummingbirds are a sign of good luck, so I will interpret this little guy as just that. [It is safe to infer that the longer they are around, the longer your luck stays, right?!] The best part was that he let me walk towards him and snap a few photos. Once I had my pictures, he looked at me and flew away. It was as if he knew.
Well, I have survived yet another week. So far, I am ahead on my work -- despite the number of hours I'm putting in the classroom and all the courses I am taking. I hope it stays this way, but I know it's probably just wishful thinking. The amount of homework is a little overwhelming; I wish that they would tone it down just a bit. Luckily, being organized makes it much easier to handle. I think that as long as I can keep myself organized I will be okay.
I am not sure what the plans are for this weekend. I do know that it will include some work and my longest run to date.
Wishing everyone a fantastic and lucky weekend!
There are so many hummingbirds by me in San Diego -- maybe that means I'll be really lucky? Have an awesome run this weekend. I'll be getting back into running this Sunday; jet lag and a bit of laziness have taken me away from it this week. I can't wait to start again.
