This conversation took place last night:
Me: I think I'm going to drive to Irvine tomorrow night to spend time with Lex and Lor.
M: Okay, but when are you going to come see me?
Me: Friday. Remember, we're going to your parent's this weekend.
M: I mean during the week. You'd never do that for me.
Me: What do you mean? You know that all you have to do is ask me to come and I will?
M: Really? Since when?
Me: Since always.
M: [long pause.] I want you to come.
Me: Now? It's already 7:15 pm.
M: Yes, now. You said that all I had to do was ask.
Me: [short pause.] Okay, but I get a Starbucks date for breakfast then.
