It was gorgeous. The food was delicious, the music was great and the company couldn't have been better. I didn't get many shots that night because I was too busy eating and enjoying myself. Here are the few photos that I did take:
Ashley looked like a princess:
(We actually have a better photo than this, but I have to scan it in first.)
My boss isn't in. Not sure he'll even be coming in at all. I'm done with all my work for the day. (Technically I
could just double feed my cells and not come in until Wednesday
morning ... but I have to sit around and put my hours in.) I have no idea
what I'm going to do for the next few hours. I definitely need to remember to bring in a book or something to occupy my time tomorrow!
P.S. Christmas photos to be posted later this week!
I don't know about you, but I really dislike "New Year's Resolutions". I hate it when people say "This year I want to ...". The sentence almost always ends in: "lose weight.", "buy a gym membership.", "quit smoking/drinking.", "get out of debt." You get the point. Sadly, most people (at least the people I know) never actually complete their resolution. People just set themselves up to be letdown. So, instead of New Year's Resolutions, I make lists. I'm more of a "list" kind of girl anyhow. I usually do my yearly lists around my birthday. This year, it took a little longer to get my list finalized. (And, I am still looking to replace those few I completed with new ones!)
If you have any ideas of things to add to my list, please let me know!
Being a student was easy. It didn't seem like it at the time, but getting 3 weeks off for the Holidays and 3 months off for summers made it all worth it. The working world is bittersweet. It's nice to get a full time paycheck and evenings and weekends free of studying, but I think I would trade it all to go back to school.
If you're a student, I hope you're enjoying your breaks because I envy your current holiday vacation time!
Although I have yet to watch the movie "Pay It Forward", it is applicable.
I knew that I would be going to Souplantation to pick up a gift card for Christmas. Coincidentally, I received a buy one meal get one free coupon for Souplantation that same morning in my email inbox. I had an idea and decided to print out several coupons and put them in my purse. After work, I drove over to the restaurant. On my way to the register to purchase the gift card, I handed out the coupons to random people who were dining there. They were all so excited and grateful. (Each coupon has a savings of about $10.)
I have also decided to keep it going! If you eat at Souplantation or Sweet Tomatoes, let me know and I'll email you the same coupon. The deal is good until December 31, 2008!
