Getting Away (Without Actually Going Anywhere)

With M working really long hours and having terrible cell phone reception at home, I don't get very much interaction with him. I've spent the last week or so planning a surprise "camping trip" for us. While M was at work yesterday, I went to the grocery story to pick up a few items, drove over to his place, moved his living room furniture out of the way, set up a tent, made PB&J sandwiches, set up some candles (campfire) and waited for him to come home. I left a sweet little note on the door for him explaining that I had a surprise and alluded to going camping to spend some quality time together.

I have photos of the evening and will post them when I get the chance to upload them.

It's Friday!

We had a total change of plans last night. We ended up not going to the art hop (Boo ... I really wanted to go, but I guess there's always next month.) M ended up working late and things just didn't come together for the rest of us to go without him.

Laguna Art Walk Tonight

The Art Walk is tonight in Laguna. I haven't been able to go in over a year and I'm excited to finally be able to enjoy this again! My sisters and M will all be joining me. And don't worry, I am bringing my camera to take photos of the things I love and to document the evening and will be posting them tomorrow.

Spunky has been a little trouble maker recently. She's always doing things she's not supposed to. Usually she'll do it on purpose and then look at me as if to say "Whatcha gonna do about it, huh?"

My sisters joke, "This is the cuddly kitty we ordered, but she's broken."

Stretched to the Max

I going through a little bit of a rough time right now. I feel overwhelmed with everything and everyone. My sisters have their requests, M has his and my parents have theirs. I'm being pulled in so many different directions that it's frustrating and making everyone happy is impossible. I feel a little taken advantage of because they all know that I'm jobless and therefore can't say no. Instead of being Leni, I feel like a taxi driver or a housekeeper or personal assistant. It sucks.
